These tiny bird's nests are super cute and easy to make. Here's what you do: Start with the dough - I made the same salt dough I made in Kindergarten
1 cup salt
1 cup flour
1/2 cup water
Mix all 3 ingredients, knead well, adding small amounts of water if needed.
|
To make the actualy nest, grab your garlic press and push the dough through. You made need to gently lift the handle to add more dough in there isn't enough squeezed out. |
|
Loosely form the dough into a circle and roll out a few eggs and place in the nest. You can let the dough air dry or bake it in a 200 degree oven checking every 15 minutes or so.
Once the dough is completely dry and cool paint the eggs light blue and then finish off with a clear sealer. These cute little nests can be used as favors, decorations for the garden or if you place the eggs just right - place card/recipe holders! Have fun crafting!
